Too many hours on the water to describe in detail ! 1st session in the morning as the tide was coming in. Dropped the kite in the surf once today and of course it had to be at the waters edge a fair way along the dunes and it rolled in the surf. Got it back into the air but lines were crossed so forced to land once back at the car park. Anyhow it was a good time for a couple of hours break for lunch over high tide - even the sun came out. Headed down for an afternoon session in the Estuary lagoon but sadly we set off a bit early and blashito lost his board on the way down in an area of really confused sea (big peaks moving in every direction possible) near the estuary mouth caused by the outgoing tide against the swell...if you find his board you know what to do... Having got into the shelter of the lagoon had many really fast runs. Wow! Tacking back out of the estuary to the car park was slightly easier than I thought it would be on the way down (figured it might be a walk back job) because of the much lower tide and less messy sea. Intended to call it a day but after a snack break the wind seemed to be picking up again so couldn't resist another hour or two in the low tide surf. Car clock said 8.30pm leaving the car park so ended a brilliant day with a Chinese takeaway... Afterthought: comparing boards today with a couple of people and everyone seems to have shorter wider boards than mine (150x38) I like mine but am beginning to wonder what the difference is with the other boards?
ps. Staying home today (Sunday) despite the wind - legs are telling me a days rest is needed, and need to clear fallen tree from driveway !
